Professional affiliation and development
Types of membership
Membership in the Bulgarian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is an expression of
professional commitment to the development, promotion and maintenance of
high standards in the specialty.
Active membership
Active members of the Association are specialists in Oral and/or Maxillofacial Surgery, holding a certificate of specialty in Bulgaria or the European Union and meeting the requirements set out in the Statutes of the Association.
Associate Membership
Associate members may be specialists from border medical and
dental specialties, as well as persons with a degree in medicine, dentistry,
dentistry, pharmacy or public health who have a professional interest
to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Trainees Membership
This category of membership is intended for trainees in Oral and/or Maxillofacial Surgery, in Bulgaria or the European Union countries.
Student Membership
Student membership is for students at medical universities
or faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or public health
in Bulgaria or the European Union.
Honorary Membership
Honorary membership is awarded to distinguished professionals, public figures or personalities
significant contribution to the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery
or related areas.
Membership fees The fees for membership in the BULOMS are a percentage of the minimum wage (MW) in Bulgaria.
Active members
20% of the MW- specialists in oral surgery
- specialists in maxillofacial surgery
- the right to participate in the activities of the association
- participation in scientific events and initiatives
- Voting members of the General Assembly
Associate Members
10 % of the MW- specialists from related medical fields
- participation in scientific events
- access to the professional community
- Members of the General Assembly
Trainees
5 % of the MW- doctors in the process of specialisation

Students
Free- medical or dental students
access to the association's scientific events and initiatives
