Association „Bulgarian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery“ („the Association“, „we“) is committed to protecting the privacy of all visitors to its website. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect the information provided, including data through membership application forms.

The Association processes personal data voluntarily through:

  • Membership Application Form
  • Email correspondence
  • Contact form on the Association's website

       Categories of personal data include:

  • First name, surname and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Professional qualification
  • Place of employment
  • Data related to membership of the Association

The Association does not process special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 of the Regulation, unless required to do so by law or on an adequate legal basis.

  • Purposes and legal basis for processing personal data

Personal data is used:

  • Administration and processing of applications for membership
  • Maintenance of a Register of Members
  • Implementation of activity-related communication

  • Accounting
  • Requirements of the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act
  • Requirements of the Accounting Act

  • Information on the activities of the Association

The legal basis for the administration and processing of personal data for information events is Art. „a“ of the Regulation, namely the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

  • Storage periods
  • Data on members of the Association shall be retained for the duration of membership and up to five years after termination of membership.
  • Data on refusals of applications for membership shall be kept until one year after the end of the procedure.
  • The accounting documents shall be kept for ten years in accordance with the requirements of the applicable legal act - the Accounting Act.
  • Data that is processed on the basis of consent is stored until the consent is withdrawn.

After the expiry of the relevant period, the personal data shall be deleted or anonymised.

  • Security measures

The Association implements appropriate technical and organizational data security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss or alteration of data, namely:

  • Restricted access to personal data
  • Access control
  • Protection of electronic systems used
  • Organisational Privacy Policy

The Association stores the data on secure servers accessible only to authorized persons.

  • Recipients of personal data

Personal data may be provided to:

  • Public authorities where there is a legal basis
  • Service providers under a processing contract in accordance with the Regulation.
  • Rights of data subjects

Every data subject has the right to:

  • gain access to their data
  • request corrections to the same where they are inaccurate or incomplete
  • restricting their processing
  • expressly object to processing
  • receive your personal data in a portable version
  • withdraw your consent at any time

In case of violation of the rights of personal data subjects, the affected persons may file a complaint with the competent authority - the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
