Who we are
Bulgarian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery unites specialists in the field with a common mission - to develop, promote and protect high professional standards in clinical practice, science and medical education.
The Association actively works for coordination and cooperation between oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the country, as well as between all allied and borderline medical and dental specialties involved in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck diseases.

Within the framework of its activities the association:
- organise and participate in educational, scientific and professional initiatives
- facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and good practice
- facilitate contacts with leading national and international centres
- provide expert opinions in dialogue with institutions and educational structures
- work to develop and optimise training and specialisation programmes
Cooperation and partnerships
The Association develops an active dialogue and cooperation with:
- medical universities and faculties
- medical facilities
- government and regulatory institutions
- professional and scientific organisations in Bulgaria and abroad
Our goal is the sustainable development of the specialty and the establishment of Bulgaria as a place for high-quality oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Management of the Association
The Association is led by renowned specialists with a strong background of experience in clinical practice, science and education. The supreme governing body is the General Assembly (GA), which includes all its members. Active members have the right to vote in the decisions of the GA. The collective body for the operational management of the Association is the Governing Council, which in the current term is represented by:
